Objective: The goal of this course is to inform the students about the current information on psychoactive substances from basic references in the scientific literature and provide them the critical aspects of psychopharmacology which they will probably encounter in clinical settings.
Content: The characteristics of psychoactive drugs, their working principles in the nervous system, and their effects on the brain and on the behavior, an overview of psychopharmacological medications, their basic taxonomy, indications, contraindications, and side-effects
